A new app called Locket allows you to earn money by displaying ads on your smartphone’s lock screen.

Ads are annoying, but would you voluntarily look at them if someone paid you to do so? One app developer is asking that question. Earlier this month, Locket launched on Android, and this new app will pay you to look at ads on your phone’s lock screen.

Reely is a new social game that follows in the footsteps of SongPop. Instead of music, though, Reely is all about movies.

If you’re a fan of the game SongPop, you’ll love Reely, the new Facebook and mobile game from Gamba Gamez. Like SongPop, Reely allows you to face off against your friends (or other random users or “Reelers”) to test your knowledge, but this time you’ll be identifying movies instead of your favorite tunes.

Get to know your neighbors! Nextdoor is a new way to create your very own private social network for your local community.

One of the things I love about my current neighborhood is that I know my neighbors. The area where I live is up-and-coming, but not without its problems. I like knowing that I can rely on the people who live in the houses near mine to call me if they see anything weird going on, especially when they know I’m not at home.

We wrote about Unroll.me in the past, while it was still in beta, but it’s so great, I had to tell you about it again. For me, finding Unroll.me was a godsend. My inbox was aswarm with subscription services, and the emails I really wanted to read were lost in the deluge.

It’s awful, but it happens to all of us. We hear that little “You’ve Got Mail” chime, and we get pumped – “Who wrote me? Who loves and remembers me? Who wanted to keep me in the loop of their awesome life events? Oh… it’s Best Buy. They are having another sale, and I’m still on their mailing list from 2004.”
