A hotel room can sail! It’s called a Botel!. Ivan Filipovic, a Serbian architect, has designed a concept hotel that is situated on the water, like a boat, but with cabins that un-dock and have the capability to sail away. Essentially each cabin features an electric motor to get around; the cabins can also be controlled remotely (i.e. a one-touch command brings the craft safely to the mother-ship), and each cabin has a GPS unit so it can be tracked. The cabins can also dock to external pontoons that would have helipads or tennis courts.
If that’s not a radical enough design for you, check out this other design concept that I StumbledUpon this morning: a Euthanasia Coaster (no kidding).
