Did you know your iPad 2 or iPhone 4 has a scientific calculator with a slew of extra features that can be accessed from your device’s regular calculator?

If you find yourself in a situation where your calculator-less and you need to find out what the cosine of something is (pretty hard to imagine, but just go with it), here’s a quick solution:

All you need to do is open up the “Calculator” application that comes installed on your device. Once the app is open, simply turn your device to the right or left in order to open up the scientific calculator portion of your calculator!
