Contact lenses… encursted with Diamonds?  Sounds freaky?  Wel, they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and now it can be in the eye of the… beheld.  

An Indian doctor has developed contact lenses that are embedded with a gold ring that is encrusted with diamonds.  At a price tag of $15,000, these contacts beget the question: why?  As in, why would I spend $15,000 to risk turning my eyeballs into pâté?

And, is it just me, or do these lenses make these models look demented?  In good news, the profits will go toward treating patients suffering from Stevens Johnson Syndrome, a skin disease that can lead to vision loss.
